Cheating. Would You Tell Your Partner?

Having been cheated on by a partner is one of life's most hurtful betrayals. My best friend and I have had many, many discussions regarding should the unfaithful partner confess their infidelity.

My best friend's stance on the issue is "absolutely not! You are just hurting your partner in order to make yourself feel better by getting the secret 'off your chest.'"

While I understand her view point,  my belief is that if the truth is withheld, the stress of keeping such a profound secret can eat away at the relationship like a cancer.  Like cancer, the relationship is at an increased risk of deteriorating from the inside out.

To shed further light on this issue, I have included a link to an excellent article that addresses this very important topic and finally asks the question, "Would You Tell Your Partner You Cheated?"

As always, all comments are welcome.
